The Govt. of India and all State Governments, including AP. State Govt. have seriously considered the increasing unemployment and dropouts problem particularly at Intermediate level, and decided to find a radical solution to these acute problems. The Governments have reached a stage where they are finding it difficult to provide the employment. The solution is VOCATIONAL EDUCATION.

INTRODUCTION
Medical Lab Technician Vocational Course where the students are trained in various clinical subjects like Anatomy & Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Clinical Pathology, Histopathology, Parasitology, Serology, Mycology &Virology. The students are also trained in communicational skill in English.

OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE

• To train students to work in diagnostic lab to carry out routine tests in Haemotology, Pathology, Biochemistry & Microbiology.
• To assist the qualified experts in this field, in the Diagnostic centers and Laboratories.
• To understand the organisation of Hospitals, research institutions etc.

TRAINING IN SKILLS
Students are trained in various skills like handling of patients, identification and use of equipment and glass ware. They are also trained in registration, recording and storage of sample. They are also trained to carry out various laboratory tests.

FUTURE CAREER PROSPECTS
Students are eligible for further studies like B.Sc(MLT) and also eligible for B.Sc(Micro Biology), B.Sc(Biochem) with Bridge Course.
